What should I know about the worship service?

Worship Style

Holy Trinity believes in honoring the living faith of those who have gone before, and infusing it with our own energy and life.  We worship in an energized traditional style, emphasizing full participation and constant spiritual growth.  We use modern styles and languages within ancient frameworks, celebrating Communion together every week.

Facilities

Our facilities are completely accessible, and open to all.  There are no steps required for any worshipper at any time.  We use a flexible seating arrangement with cushioned chairs, so you will be able to worship comfortably.

Communion

At Holy Trinity, we believe that it is the Lord's Table that we gather around, and Jesus is the host.  It is not our job, desire, or practice to guard the Lord -- he says he wants to celebrate it with everyone, and it's our privilege to be a part of his plan!  Everyone who is baptized and believes that Christ is truly present in the bread and wine is welcome to join our celebration of grace.  Even children!  Please come join us.

Length

Our worship services last approximately an hour-and-a-half, meaning we are usually finished by 12:00pm.

Dress

Informal attire is welcome.  Worship at Holy Trinity is not about how you look -- it's about all of us, encountering God together.

Children and Families

Children are always welcome with us in every single worship service, activitiy, meeting, absolutely anything going on.  Every worship service includes a Children's Sermon, and we invite all young people to join the procession during the final hymn to help the Pastors and Assisting Ministers greet everyone.  If a parent feels that his or her child is a disruption to themselves or those around, the nursery is always available, as is an activity table, Sonshine activity bags, and more.  But we love having kids with us!  We believe that God put the wiggle in them, and we celebrate it.

Music

We are the proud inheritors of an incredibly strong tradition of hymns and song, and celebrate the ongoing creativity of musicians serving the Lord.  We use both traditional and modern hymns and songs, always striving for singability, appropriate language, and a message that meets us where we are.  We love to sing, and delight in the musical gifts our members, friends, visitors, anyone! has to share.
